Santiago de Compostela airport bus 6a

It costs 1€
It leaves from the city every 30 mins on the hour and half hour so wherever you are add 5-20 mins.
It stops at many pubs in San Lazaro
It also stops just near the albergue in lavacolla.
Do yourself a favour. It can be busy on the bus with 80 standing.
Get out early and have a calm drink 10 minutes from the airport and wave the pilgrims in.
Also take a wee drink to the airport and some arzua or tetilla cheese.

Enjoy a calm cost efficient end to the camino

Vigo, Porto and back to viana

This has been a great Camino.
We wanted to chart new waters.
We wanted to be Magellan.
Vasco de Gama.
Christopher The Genoese Portuguese Columbus.
We did it all.
We even walked a bridge, well 2 of us.

I made it out to Porto bay and we all had a lovely meal.
Two of us did fish but all three got the benefit of the open BBQ grills which all the restaurants do out here.
It was ridiculous when the bill came in at 35€ considering I was on the wine, we all had sweets and the fish was delicious.
Stu kept getting pecked by the seagull.

it bugs his wee tits.
We continued our walk and got to the end.
We got the tram back.
Simon held onto the bell.
The tram stopped a lot on the way back
It was because people get on and off a tram.
Who knew.
My train to viana was a bit like that. When I arrived I found my favourite cheese.
I'm here now so sleep becomes me. Port with crackers ☺️

a shot of the Portuguese way

It's more like a short as this is three wee 5km walks.

O porrino to Mos is our starter
Lovely wee town
Lovely walk up in the hills
We were sent a gorgeous route through the trees.
It was a motorway by pass
A big loop then back to the road
Then up and away then across the road and down.
Then up again!
and finally
Mo's or Mos as it's known.

Vigo, a rua and I barco

I have been drawn away from the camino frances by the sheer beauty of the invierno way

We left ponferrade on a bus

We arrived in o Barco home of mencia.

This is the valledoras wine region.

We walked to A RUA

It was stunning and also some poor bits alongside the road.

After villamartin it stopped raining and we were on side shoots away from the road and by the river.
Jaw dropping it was.
Pictures can never do this region justice.
Town after town the Rio Sil is dam after dam.
We got a train at A RUA to monforte de lemos.
In the morning we got the train to ourense and had a stroll on it's mental bridge.
Vertigo kicked in for me but the others did well.
One full circuit
The it was the fast bus to Vigo.
One hour on the celta Vigo team bus.
Sheer luxury and only 8€>
It left at 10.40 and arrived an hour later.

Great journey through Galicia
Loving Vigo.

Ponferrade to Barco and then monforte

We saw a monbus going along the road to la Rua and I guess monforte de lemos so when I'm back I'll check it out as this invierno way looks great. It's wet just now so I guess a bus fall back is worth knowing. Our plan is to walk to A RUA and get the 19:52 train to monforte then tomorrow a 10am or 12 train to Vigo. It's chucking it down though so we will wait until 15.30 before leaving!
