Harry & I walked in 2011 following my first camino in 2007 with Simon, www.500m@wordpress.com, Stuart and Paul walked with me in 2015 and Stu has been on at least 10 caminos with me as well as his own stuff.
I cant get enough of the friends and fun something simple like walking and talking brings. I've been out traipsing the camino 20 times now from full caminos to some as short as Pamplona to Leon, or more recently 3 times to finisterre in 2023 so far.
While we pilgrims pass though the pueblos towns and cities, the locals are there year in year out with few exceptions. The most recent exception being the Bar/Hostal/shop by the bus stop at Villafranca Montes de Oca, which sadly closed around 2018. The huge redevelopment of the hotel/albergue doubtless done for it, although it may just be the owner decided to retire.
Santa Fe in Cardenuela Rio pico is however still open and its definitely my favourite stop after Villafrance Montes des Oca. Well worth booking a single room and have some luxury before the gentle stroll into Burgos.
