Sunday sees the flight from Bilbao with the walking starting from Puente La Reina on Monday 23rd September. Just Fat Al as Harry Bananas is minding causewayside's finest, Swanys!
I'll probably walk out of Pamplona to some halfway house albergue, or possibly even get a bus with the plan to join the Apostles from Swanys, John and James on the way to Estella. I will stay just out of town at one of my favourite albergues, just before Montjardin but we'll see. Its a camino, make a plan and change it on the day!
Tuesday will see a wee walk to los Arcos and then on to Sansol. Wednesday will see a stroll to Viana, one of the finest wee strolls on the camino. Thursday will be Logrono and then onto Navarette, with Friday seeing us arrive in Azofra.
That's when the apostles head back to Bilbao, probably via Pamplona.
I'll be walking west unless the cry of the Zaragoza gets too strong!
Stu's in Zaragoza on the Saturday night and will wander along to join me around Burgos.
Belorado, Villambistia or Montes Des Oca are on the way so we'll see.
I like the walk from Villambistia to Cardenuela Rio Pico.
My favourite albergue there is Santa Fe,
on the site from 2012.
I kicked a football along the camino then.
When I got to Rio Pico the wee laddie wanted a game.
6 years later the wee laddie's a bit older!
This isnt the wee laddie, this is some Swiss dude in the yellow hat.
He was great craic as were the Germans in the other picture.
Santa Fe, never disappoints and I'll hopefully stay there again.
Who could ever forget the Sombrero Verfi in Montes de Oca?
Well, everyone now as the pub has closed!
Hi Al, got your message from Islands, keep your mind working we are game for it.
