There are some stretches as we descend to el Acebo where you think it would have been much safer on the road. The surface is fragmented slate, geologically magnificent but dancing down hill on ice is difficult. Towards the bottom you cross criss across the hill and you think someone is walking to wards you but they are actually going down too. I saw a couple going away another road then I found out it was the same path. 800m by crow was 2k!
