A tale of two weathers part 1

If you look in the right direction you will always find sunshine even if you are not on the Camino. I had a simple plan to do some of the Camino Norte this week. The sunshine below would suggest my timing was priceless but alas no. It has rained most of the time but as ever my glass has been over (half) flowing. We walked around Bilbao and saw the Guggenheim as the sun crash off its tin man roof. We then took ourselves to cafe iruna and ate pinchos moruno even better than paganos in logrono although they were 2.50€ not €1 !! I digress - while we are it rained cats goats and all species Norte. We left in a dry moment and nearly made it back dry but that's early March for you. It was 17 degrees and a balmy 12 at night time so all was well until last night. That's when snow was predicted in Burgos and fromista. I had planned to do two days walking but now I head to Valladolid

You might look at the picture below and wonder why. I walked out of Santander through the centre of the town, straight up the hill and over the back to the university, shamelessly following the blue sky. There were no Amarillo fleschas so I just went for Mrs blue sky! I was properly rewarded as it got very warm and then I turned right and arrived at sardinero beach. I followed it around to the right and met the hotel of the same name and later a casino too. I met 007 it felt that surreal to see a building so isolated with casino but as I headed back into town I left Mrs blue sky and met mr dark cloud, that's the Camino!

Don't make a plan, you only change it!
