> As Mike writes, it is sad indeed and I have watched this tribalism when Germany exit world cups, while living in London. Unfortunately what Mike fails to realise is the majority of these antics are by men, who as we all know, both behave badly and also shout too loudly. Members of parliament will testify to the fact that they believe this tribalism, antagonistic or argumentative approach, even nonsensical bombastic debating style leads only to songs like ..."We hate Jimmy Hill...." and other such pieces of bile, whilst also stating that the mother of parliaments should ignore the opportunity to inherit a new debating chamber as part of the legacy, London Olympics would leave. Surely they worked it out at the third passing of the bill, yes our building is falling down and we have a high security, supreme access, with accommodation. Aye, give it to the hammers.

> The concept that hatred should be at the forefront of our being starts early in life and this tribalism rolls on throughout it. Whether it be religious differences or any other, the Ginger, or Ging-err as my strawberry blonde friend assured me, are called, attract more attention than an urn bru advert, north of the border than most, but nonetheless emphasise our pathetic human conspiracy to celebrate or fight for our differences.

> War has often united us and it is not unusual that a male centric gladiatorial contest should raise Mike Pearn's sensitivities. The issues he should be trying to address is why we are spending so much money on an exercise to celebrate testosterone. Surely not just to then chastise it. It's testosterone it does what it says on the tin, man.

> I love the World Cup and I support every tenuous link I have to support a team against another team. Tonight I supported Belgium as I had £10@11/1 on them to win the World Cup. My wife, being smarter, has £10@50/1 on Belgium to win and Kane to be the top Scorer. I can assure you, she was cheering every bit of the way for the Tottenham legend Kane.
