I'm not sure I get the logic but it isn't completely flawed. The middle east seems to involve Israel protecting it's borders by taking over lands to police or resettle. First renaming them then after a period of occupied territory status, doing a playing the sudetanland card. A wee tidy up project and annexe them.
The far sighted Saudis have bought loads of defence from the west but perhaps their greatest defence will be to build a stadium so they can jointly run world cup football games with Israel and proclaim themselves the two power houses of the region.
